The Run-A-Muck Fund aims to encourage youth to get—and stay—involved in hunting. Hunting is not just a sport; it’s a lifestyle promoting time outdoors, bonding with family and friends, outdoor education, conservation and sustainability, healthy food, old and new traditions, and an appreciation for life and nature.
The first step to getting involved in hunting is to complete the Ontario Hunter Education course and the Canadian Firearms Safety course. Youth 12 to 20 years old living in the Muskoka area can apply for financial assistance for the fees associated with the courses.
Bradly, as Steve Bradley was known to his friends, was an avid hunter and outdoorsman for his entire life. At the age of 17, he and nine of his friends started Camp Run-A-Muck, an “unorganized” invite-only deer camp in Dwight, Ontario. In 2025, Run-A-Muck celebrates 50 years with three generations of hunters.
The camp was Bradly’s happy place, his only vacation time, and where he spent quality time with his friends and family. His favourite saying was “Can’t beat a camp!” Bradly encouraged his children and grandchildren to be apart of the camp, and he enjoyed teaching kids about hunting and the outdoors.
Bradly passed away in April 2025 at the age of 67. This fund was created in his memory.
